Pleased to announce free set that starts new army for Eastern Rennaissance.
So, next army that I'm working on is Zaporozhian Cossacks - famous frontier warriors from the Ukrainian steppes, who through their long history participated in conflicts with all major forces in 16-17th century Eastern Europe. Sometimes they fought as allies of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth or (later) Muscovite tsardom, while sometimes rebelled and fought for themselves.
First release is a small free promo set of 2x 15mm cossacks, mocking their enemies with insults and offensive gestures they were rather famous for. They did it to provoke enemies into loosing order and attacking cossacks (who often held fortified positions and waited for the charge). Also in this way cossacks strenthed their fighting spirit and demonstrated their will to fight.
These 2 figures are dressed in typical Ukrainian peasants dress and crude boots, are armed with a polish-hungarian saber, axe, and a snaphance musket. They can represent either independent Zaporozhian Sich cossacks or Registered Cossacks, who fought in campains of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and received payment from the Crown (in theory, while in reality they often received nothing and rebelled).
This set is released closely to the tragic date of February 24th and also is a small tribute to the stubborn heroic defence that Ukrainian people hold for 4 years day-to-day.
You can find stl files and download them for free in my store.
Stay tuned, more to come!
